Craft Beer Market Awajicho in Kanda is perfectly decent if you’re looking for a cheap drink on a weekday. This is just one branch out of ten, so if you’ve already been to a Craft Beer Market elsewhere, there’s no real need to visit.

Craft Beer Market Awajicho is the Kanda branch of the Craft Beer Market chain of beer bars. They’ve hit upon a winning formula with their other bars and it doesn’t deviate much at this outlet. Think reasonably-priced craft beer, a low table charge (around JPY300 a head), and free WiFi. The main difference at this branch is that they serve decent pizza - ‘craft pizza’ as they call it.

As with their other branches, they have 30 different beers on tap. 3 of these are domestic macro beers, and the rest are split evenly between Japanese and imported craft beers. A 250ml glass can be had for JPY480, and a pint for JPY780, tax included.

The downside is that pouring can vary quite a bit - a problem common to the Craft Beer Market chain. Still, it’s not a bad choice if you’re in Kanda and craving craft beer. It’s not like there are other options in the immediate vicinity!
