With a central Shibuya location, attentive staff, great boutique style and comfortable rooms, the Indigo is one of the best hotels in Shibuya and a great choice for those in the market for a stylish upper mid-range hotel in Tokyo.

Hotel Indigo Tokyo Shibuya At A Glance
- Great for: couples, flashpackers
- Strong points: location, rooftop bar, great style
- Sample rates: US$290 to $540
Indigo exterior
The Indigo is on the edge of Shibuya’s shopping district and within easy walk of Shibuya Station, so the location is great. And, despite the crowds that descend on Shibuya, it’s far enough from the center to feel relatively peaceful.
Premium room
The rooms here are on the small side, but they’re well appointed and comfortable enough for a few days. The outdoor lounge is a great place to hang out after a day of sightseeing. The staff are helpful and friendly and there’s a small gym where you can burn off some calories.
Premium king room
All in, we think the Indigo is a great choice for those in search of a convenient Shibuya location. Rates are competitive with other mid-range hotels in this class.
