Hotel PAL Otsuka, located up at the north end of the Yamanote Loop Line, is one of the nicer “love hotels” in the city. It’s a clean, well-run and reasonable place to sample the short-time hotel experience.

While Shibuya is famous as the center of Tokyo’s “love hotels,” those looking for a cheaper and nicer option might consider riding the Loop Line north for a while to get to Otsuka and the Hotel PAL Otsuka. Sure, there’s not much to do in Otsuka, but if you’re coming here for the hotel, we assume that you aren’t coming here for the sights.

With good room service, clean rooms, nice facilities and budget rates, it’s hard to beat the Hotel PAL Otsuka. Indeed, if you’re a solo traveler in need of a decent place for a night’s sleep, this hotel is worth a look if you can’t find a room elsewhere.
