The Kojimachi neighborhood is home to one of Tokyo’s best ramen shops - Soranoiro, which specializes in vegetable-heavy ramen. Sometimes, though, you just want something decidedly unhealthy and filling. Just turn the corner and you’ll find IBUKI Tsukemen Dining, a little ramen shop serving some fabulous dipping noodles.

Their specialty is the tokusei tsukemen and curry - dipping noodles with a curry-infused dipping broth. The noodles are flat, almost like fettuccine but stickier and chewier, sitting heavier in your belly afterwards. They’re perfect for soaking up the rich pork bone and bonito broth infused with curry.

While it’s not the cheapest ramen around - it runs to over JPY1000 - that’s still inexpensive, especially for the area and in comparison to nearby dining options. A great place to eat at if you’re in the area.
