If you’re looking for a Japanese experience and want to stay in the old sightseeing district of Asakusa (close to Senso-ji Temple, Ueno and the Tokyo Skytree), then the Onyado Nono Asakusa might fit the bill. The rooms are small but comfortable enough and you might enjoy the way you remove your shoes upon entry, just as you would in a ryokan. The only quibble we’ve heard here is about noise – the walls are thin (also, just like at many ryokan). So, if you’re looking for Japanese style and baths at reasonable rates, have a look at the Onyado Nono Asakusa.
