It’s not easy to find a sake bar open during the day. Luckily, at Sake no Ana in Ginza, you can have a full sake tasting along with lunch.

Most izakaya carry decent to great selections of sake at dinnertime. But most izakaya aren’t open during the day: where does one get a sake fix? You head over to Sake no Ana in Ginza, where you can have set lunches accompanied by as many different kinds of sake as your heart desires.

As befits a sake bar, there is a sake sommelier on hand who’s always ready to offer advice and bring out several bottles for you to taste. They carry around 130 different kinds of sake, so the sommelier is definitely your first port of call!

Besides set lunches, the full dinner menu is also available during the day. Naturally, most items on the menu pair well with sake. Think grilled salted fish, natto (fermented beans) omelette, chicken skewers, and pickles.
