Santon is a small family-run restaurant tucked away in an alley in Chinatown. Don’t let the slightly dingy interior put you off – the food here is flavourful and delicious, and yards better than most of the touristy fare in the area. The standout dish here is the “suigyoza” or boiled dumplings, made even better by the accompanying chilli, soy, and coconut dipping sauce. Go with friends and add other dishes to your order to share: salt-and-pepper fried prawns, yellow chives and pork stir-fry, stir-fried clams, wonton noodles, and ginger clam soup. The only problem is making stomach space for all of it.
