Umegaoka Sushi-no-Midori is a mid-range sushi chain that’s a favorite with travelers for their reasonable prices. If you’re in Akasaka and need an affordable place for sushi, this is a good place to have on your list.

Their winning formula is reasonably tasty sushi coupled with very reasonable prices. Much is made of the JPY2000 sushi set, which comes with around 8 pieces of nigirizushi (rice with a slice of fish on top), miso soup, and chawanmushi (steamed egg custard). It’s perfectly acceptable for JPY2000, and it’ll fill you up.
Sukibayashi Jiro this is not, and if you’re looking for high-quality sushi, this isn’t the place for it - you do get what you pay for. But for the price point, it’s far better than anything you’ll find outside of Japan.
