Not all hotels in Tokyo are created equal. Most don’t have swanky bars with sweeping, panoramic views of the metropolis, impressive (and expensive) wine lists, and live piano players to set the mood for the evening. But Bellovisto Bar in Cerulean Tower Hotel does.

Located on the 40th floor of this hotel in Shibuya, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Roppongi skyline and Shinjuku skyline in the distance while sipping fancy cocktails. The view is great from pretty much every seat in the house, even if you’re not seated right by the glass windows. It’s a very cinematic experience.

Of course, all this luxe comes with a price tag. Cocktails average around JPY1300 and upwards, while a bottle of Sapporo beer starts at JPY1200. This isn’t including the service tax; bar snacks aren’t complimentary either. But if you’re trying to impress your date - or just have a very special night out - the Bellovisto Bar is not a bad place to visit at all. If you want to ensure a place by the window, call ahead and book a table.
