Ariake Arena plays host to the Olympic volleyball events and the Wheelchair Basketball events at the Paralympics. It’s a large permanent venue located in the Ariake district in Odaiba.

Located in the northern part of the Ariake district in Odaiba, Ariake Arena will play host to the 2020 Olympics volleyball events and the Paralympics Wheelchair Basketball events. With a 15,000 spectator capacity, this new arena will purportedly be used as a sporting and cultural centre after the 2020 Olympics.
This sleek, modern venue is located an 8-minute walk from Ariake-tennis-no-mori Station on the Yurikamome monorail line or 8 minutes on foot from Shin-Toyosu Station on the Yurikamome Line. Alternatively, it is around 20 minutes on foot from Kokusai-tenjijo Station on the JR Rinkai Line. It’s also possible to take the bus from Tokyo Station to eliminate as much walking as possible, since the summer heat will be pretty scorching.
Ariake is one of the main hubs for the 2020 Olympics-related events and venues. Besides the gymnastics arena, the northern part of this district is home to the Ariake Gymnastics Arena, International Broadcast Centre, Main Press Centre, and the Olympic/Paralympic Village.
